ATATÜRK PHOTO ARCHIVE
Specially colored Atatürk archive. The gallery below holds 48 images.
Scanning from historical originals
Glass negatives, film and opaque originals on paper are scanned on a Fujifilm FineScan 2750: 762 and 2,743 dpi native optical resolution, 0.0D – 3.7D density range, 470 × 350 mm bed. Scanning is done without physical damage to the original.
Printing and facsimile
Prints are produced two ways: archival pigment printing on Hahnemühle fine art papers with a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-6100 (2,400 × 1,200 dpi, up to 150 cm), or chromogenic C-print on true photographic paper with a Durst Lambda 131 (up to 127 cm). Colour is matched to the original with spectrophotometer measurement and a physical proof print before production starts.
Exhibition production
When archive photographs are prepared for exhibition, large format panel production, museum standard framing and on-site installation are delivered together. Framing is made with 58 frame profiles, museum glass and acid-free mounts, up to 150 × 300 cm including the glass. DIFOART's museum projects include the exhibition The Story of the Atatürk Photographs.
